REVIEW OF THE CARLTON MATCH AND THOUGHTS ON SUTTON COLDFIELD THIS SATURDAY.

I was absolutely delighted with the win away at Carlton last Saturday.

We turned up and the pitch was poor, the weather wasn't great and with Carlton being tough opposition we knew it was going to be a difficult day.

We were excellent once again. Solid, resolute and a threat on the counter. In the end we were dominant throughout the 90 minutes.

Back-to-back wins and unbeaten in our last eight games has really put us in with an outside chance of the top five.

The league is starting to take real shape now and everyone of our remaining games has a meaning with the first starting at Louth away in the Lincs Senior Trophy.

It's a competition we are taking very seriously and one we want to win.

This football club has been starved of any silverware for a long time and we want that to change.

On Saturday we face the league leaders away on the dreaded 3G pitch at Sutton Coldfield.

We know what to expect in terms of how they play and where their threats lie but we also owe them one after losing narrowly at home 2-1.

We felt robbed of a late penalty after Hutch was brought down when about to tap into an empty net for a deserved equaliser.

It wasn't to be.

I fancy us to get a result anywhere and although we know it's going to be a big ask we are going to Sutton intent on bringing three points back to Ashby Avenue.
