This is what Whites' boss, Big Sam Wilkinson had to say following his team's great 4-3 victory at Gresley FC on Saturday in the Evo-Stik South League.

”We got the three points which is the main thing we came here for.

“I was not too happy with the performance but after all it's a results business and we are delighted with the three points.

“I have to say we rode our luck at times to say the least and Phil McGann in goal made four or five unbelievable saves.

“For the last 15 minutes we settled down and defended ok.

“We should have made it 5-2 and been comfortable but Gresley are as lively a team as we have played so far and their front four were always a threat.

“Apart from Loughborough, we haven't looked like scoring many but we have looked solid.

“Today we scored four but didn't look solid from minute one.

“Yet we will look back and think it's a great result no matter what.

“After all it's nice to get a bit of luck.

“It will be a tough game on Wednesday because Stocksbridge are a good, attacking side.

“We need to defend a lot better if we are to get anything from the game.”
