Here is what Whites' boss, Sam Wilkinson had to say about his team's second successive defeat in The Evo-Stik South League on Tuesday at Spalding.

“My thoughts are that we should have got something out of the game.

“There wasn't a lot in it in the first half. It was just a bit of a battle.

“Their goal had a bit of fortune about it which hurt us.

“I wasn't happy with how we started the game because we didn't get a foothold in it until at least 15 minutes when we seemed to work out what to do.

“Really we had to get the wide players on the ball a lot more and look to create.

“We nearly got in a couple of times. It's just that the final ball wasn't good enough.

“I thought we dominated the second half and created four or five great chances.

“However we failed to take them again.

“They scored on the break which was massively disappointing from our point of view.

“We didn't secure the middle of the pitch which allowed their striker to get on it too easily and finish very well.

“They then lost their discipline and gave us a lift by getting a man sent off for a bad tackle.

“We then moved the ball very well and created enough chances to win the game.

“They then went down to nine men and we kept pushing but couldn't find the equaliser.

“We should have had a penalty but for some reason the assistant referee, who saw everything all night, didn't see the Spalding player clearly handle the ball, which also cost us massively.

“It's not the result we wanted and things seem to be going against us at the minute but that makes my management team and me and the squad even more hungry to get it right.”
