Let's hope the performance on Saturday was a blip though we can't afford too many blips this season.
The Gaffer and his management team have worked hard to bring together a group of players who have the potential to more than survive this demanding league.
Perhaps there are one or two lessons from Saturday's defeat which the lads can take into tomorrow night's game at Stocksbridge and indeed, for the rest of the season.
1. Mistakes in defence lead to goals. That's a fact. It's also part of every football coaching manual.
2. You have to take your chances to win matches. This may be an obvious statement but it's true.
3. If you give the ball away you have to work very hard to get it back.....quickly.
I believe in this group of players.
I believe they can turn on a performance that would match any team in the league.
The opportunity to do so comes round tomorrow night at Stocksbridge. All the best lads.
