After two tough away games Lincoln United are back home on Saturday and have renewed optimism after looking much more competitive in recent games.

During our lean November spell we had looked weak as a team and were offering little as a group.

Even though there has been a shortfall in terms of points we have been very competitive in our three games in 2012.

Careless defending cost us dear against Carlton Town in our last home game but we had at least an equal share of posession.

Last Saturday saw a late equaliser at Sutton Coldfield cost us all three points but for 94 minutes the lads produced a terrific display.

Then on Tuesday night we had a tough trip to Leek Town and a solid performance, backing up what had gone on in the previous week and the harsh reality of football kicked them in the teeth.

If we can maintain our intensity and keep producing these performances there is no doubt results will turn. Whilst in November we were losing with a whimper.

Josh Raby and Jordan Hempenstall are our two long term injured and they won't feature on Saturday. Liam Bull may still not be ready but we will hopefully have the rest fit and ready for another tough encounter with Goole AFC on Saturday.
