‘The Whites’ suffered their first loss of the season and their first league loss since December 2018, losing a tightly contested game to Chesterfield FC Women in the Premier Division of the East Midlands Women’s Regional Football League.
The hosts, Chesterfield, took the lead seven minutes into the game, against the run of play. A well struck shot travelled into the net, with Chesterfield capitalising on their first chance of the game.

Twenty minutes later United bounced back in style. A spectacular effort by Chloe Brock-Taylor helped bring ‘The Whites’ level. Her 30-yard strike travelled high and fast, looping over the keeper and into the top corner of the net.

The game reached somewhat of a stalemate, with neither team causing the other trouble, United perhaps more in the ascendancy but huffing and puffing, rather than creating anything of quality. Chesterfield hit the back of the net 30 seconds before half-time, taking advantage of a United mistake and decisively putting the ball in the net with their first attack of intent within since United's equaliser.

The second half came and went, ‘The Whites’ dominating the ball but lacking their usual cutting edge in the final third, unable to cause the danger they normally possess. However, good chances did fall to Dalzell, Davison and Murrell in the dying embers of the match but the finishing touches alluded United.
