Lincoln United Women travel to Mansfield Town Ladies as they look to extend their unbeaten run to eight games without defeat in all competitions.

'The Whites' are currently fourth in the league, just two points behind The Stags, who are third. A win for United would mean that they would climb above Mansfield with two games in hand on the team from Nottinghamshire.

In the reverse fixture, Lincoln United defeated Mansfield Town 5-1 on a Weeknight at Ashby Avenue. Abbie Murrell scored a brace alongside goals from Hollie Lewis, Heather Gardener, and Lauren Churcher, which secured an emphatic win for United.

However, manager Chris Funnell has warned his side not to be complacent and is expecting a challenging game against Andi Bell's side. He said: "I'm expecting to come up against a well-rehearsed Mansfield team who are difficult to play against.

"They are third in the league for a reason…we need to go there and ask questions of their defence, and hopefully our quality will come through, and we'll win the game, but it won't be an easy game, we know that."

Abbie Murrell is still unavailable for selection after missing last week's game. Lauren Churcher is also unavailable for this week's game which means that 'The Whites' will have to play without a pairing that has scored a combined 75 goals this season.

Tracey Duxbury-Mead is available for selection for the first since September. The former West Ham United striker has been recovering from a long-term knee injury and could potentially play a few minutes against Mansfield on Sunday. After missing last week's game against Notts County, Lucy Farrow also returns to the squad.

Lincoln United will be looking for a crucial three points on the road this coming Sunday, April 24th, 2pm KO at The RH Academy.
