‘The Whites’ will be looking to make it three wins on the bounce this Sunday when they host Loughborough Students at Ashby Avenue.

Chris Funnell’s side are unbeaten in their last five fixtures in all competitions. The visitors have won just one game in their past five matches and are currently eighth in the league.

A win for Lincoln would mean that they climb above Mansfield Town into third position in the league.

The two sides met last October, where Lincoln United travelled back from Loughborough with a 12-3 victory. However, United were far from their best in that game especially in the first half, as the scores were level at 3-3 going into the break.

Manager Chris Funnell believes that his side’s first-half performance from the reverse fixture will not happen again and that they must remain consistent. He said: “We need to perform consistently week in and week out.

“We need to be at our best every single week, with the correct application to go and put in good performances to get three points.”

‘The Whites’ will have a full squad available for selection apart from Tracey Duxbury-Mead, who is still recovering from a long-term knee injury.
Lincoln United will be looking for a crucial three points this coming Sunday, April 3rd, 2pm KO at Ashby Avenue.
