On Saturday The Lions travelled to play 5th placed Torquay having to make two changes to the squad, from the previous week, because of injuries picked up by Nathan Wills and Lowen Eggington with Archie Doidge coming into the starting fifteen and Gareth Cooke on to the bench. The first scoring chance went to the Lions on nine minutes, when they were awarded a penalty inside the home twenty-two; the kick at goal by Oliver Aggiss was successful to open the scoring. At the restart Liskeard knocked on Torquay secured their ball, ran it and scored a converted try. On twenty-four minutes Torquay scored a second try, this time from a catch and drive line out, and they crossed for an unconverted try to increase their lead. On twenty-seven minutes a second penalty was awarded to Liskeard, from an eminently kickable place, on the home twenty-two but the ball was pushed wide. On thirty minutes Liskeard were reduced to fourteen men when fly half Treve Murley was shown a harsh yellow card and on thirty-four minutes The Lions were reduced to thirteen when a second harsh yellow card was shown, this time to prop Ben Palmer, from the ensuing line out, following a line kick, Torquay scored their third try this time off another catch and drive line out. Just before the half time whistle Liskeard fell further behind when the home side scored their fourth try, that they converted, unfortunately the referee missed a blatant knock on in the build-up, to take the score to 24-3 at the break.
Within five minutes of the restart Torquay scored another converted try, through their forwards to make it 31-3. Not long after, following excellent inter-passing, between full back Jordan Smith and wing Mickael Delage Liskeard hit back with a superb team try with Aggiss latching onto a pass to cross the whitewash; this went unconverted. On seventy-two minutes Torquay scored another unconverted try, following a missed tackle but in the dying minutes of the game Liskeard came back strongly with a great break from Aggiss to go over for an unconverted try for a final score of 36-13. This coming weekend The Lions are playing at home with the visit of tenth placed Lanner to Lux Park with a 1430 kick off, the 2nds are also scheduled for a home game playing Plymouth University 4ths with most probably a 1415 kick off.
