Annual Membership Fees

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our membership for their support during this long period of lockdown. Whilst we have not been able to open, there has still been plenty going-on; Grounds maintenance has been a constant and the pitches are looking great, the rest has done them good. Inside and outside the club there have been a lot of maintenance improvements and decorating, so a big thank you to all those volunteers who have put a lot of work in to keep on top of the maintenance thus ensuring the club can open, when allowed.

It is with the imminent opening in mind that we turn to the normal business of the club and to that of membership renewal. The club has managed to operate on ‘subsistence’ income for the past few months and we sincerely thank those members that continued their direct debits; this has truly been a lifeline, but membership renewal is normally at this time of the year so we set-out below the coming-year cost of annual membership renewal. As a membership organisation, it should be noted that to be eligible to participate in training sessions, and to be covered by the club insurance, and to receive member discounts, initial membership must be paid-up.

Whilst the bar and clubhouse will be open for members and their families as and when allowed, and players will be able to join limited training sessions, we recognise that for some time to come there will be no competitive rugby so the committee has set-out to ‘split’ membership and playing fees as follows:

From July 2020:

Fixed Initial membership fee for all: £25 This includes Players and families as well as Social members

in January 2021:

Family membership: £40 and subject to playing having been re-started

Playing membership: £20 and subject to playing having been re-started

Social membership: £20

Please do not attempt to pay membership fees through GMS as they are undertaking major updates etc. Please pay fees using the good-old traditional method of paying at the club where you will also find the application forms and the bar open for business.

Members will understand that the running bills of the club continue relentlessly, so we ask that where members feel willing and, above all able, payment of full annual membership is still welcome and will be much appreciated.
