Littlemore RFC open day 2021

With the start of the 2021/22 rugby season fast approaching, Littlemore RFC have chosen to stage an open day in a bid to recruit more players across all age groups of the playing sides.

Saturday September 4th, we open our doors to the public to come and see what Littlemore has to offer. Members from the men's playing squad, and junior squad, including volunteers on the coaching side, and social side, will all come together for a day of fun games and activities.

So far, plans are underway with our minis and junior section kicking off the action, with a small training session/warmup, followed by some fun 'rugby themed' games. The men's playing will be running some touch rugby games, with the emphasis on getting EVERYONE involved. We already have individuals showing a keen interest in forming a team for the day. Some of whom, have never played before. We are really hoping to mix the sides up - slotting in some of the people who come down throughout the afternoon.

The beauty of touch rugby is that is a great game to introduce new players to rugby, without the worry of having to tackle opposing players, or understanding the full version of the game with all the technical rules.

There will also be plenty of refreshments to purchase to keep you energized throughout the afternoon. We will be holding a BBQ outside the clubhouse, alongside a small beer festival and cake stall, and also, food and drinks will be available pitchside from 'The Crooked Feed' kitchen. The clubhouse and bar, will also be open with plenty of seating both inside and out.

Updates as they come will be on our social media pages. Just type Littlemore RFC into your search box on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, and you can keep up to date as it happens.
