Liverpool's tough season in Tier1 continues this Sunday away at the National Cycling Centre to Manchester Futsal Club (17:30 ko). Liverpool started the season with an amazing 6-3 away victory to newly promoted Kent United. A narrow 5-4 defeat at home to Loughborough followed and yesterday we lost 10-3 to the current champions Bolton, despite taking the lead after 12 seconds.
Liverpool sit in 7th place at the moment just behind 6th placed Manchester. Both sides taking just 3 points from their opening three games. Manchester lost to Bolton and Genesis in their opening two games and beat bottom side Hartpury 3-1 yesterday. Long way to go yet and Manchester will continue their inevitable climb to the top 4 and the playoffs.
Liverpool have made a decent start in a strong league and will hope to improve with every top flight game. Sunday will another tough game with unbeaten table toppers Genesis to follow, two weeks later. Liverpool may have to pick their battles this season. But they will continue to battle away!
