Liverpool Transplant Football Club
Who are We?
Liverpool Transplant Football Club is a fully inclusive Pan-disability football club based in the Northwest of England. The club provides opportunities for organ, stem-cell, and bone marrow transplant recipients to return to playing football. As well as including players with a broad spectrum of impairment and health conditions to play together in a safe environment.
Our Team strives to overcome adversity and raise awareness of Organ Donation and the benefits of the gift of life. Including creating an accessible, inclusive culture that values and empowers disabled players.
Encouraging people to see past our player's disabilities and see their abilities on and off the pitch.
Where do we Play?
This season we are playing in the Liverpool County FA’s, and Cheshire FA's Ability Counts Leagues in Liverpool and Chester.
What’s Involved?
This is a 7v7 mixed-ability league for players ages 16+ with various disabilities. The fixtures are played once a month and each game lasts 12-15 minutes. There are 4-6 games on the day with a short break in between. There are unlimited substitutions, so each player can play as long or as short time as they feel they can compete and be part of the team.
Can I play if I have not had a Transplant?
Yes… Liverpool Transplant Football Club is a fully inclusive club so we accept all genders and abilities ages 16+.
We also encourage mainstream players to join the club as all training sessions are structured so that all players can train and play in a safe environment.
Is there a Cost Involved?
Liverpool Transplant Football Club is a non-profit community club, funded by volunteers and supporters. All players have to contribute £20 subs per month towards the cost of training fees, league matches, kit maintenance, insurance and more...
If you are having difficulty paying your subs please speak to our welfare officer in person or by email and all correspondence will be completely confidential.
