Llanboidy nearly had a full squad to pick from for this key game against another promoted team from last season, Bargod. We had a few key players returning for this game aswell as Coach Paul Jenks back in coaching action so picking up points was key for this fixture. Llanboidy started slowly with Bargod opening the game the better team but after settling into the game both teams where quite equal and the score was kept to a 0 v 0 draw until halfway through the second half when Chris Bowen and Dafydd Vaughan played the ball down the right hand side before Chris crossing the ball into the box for Lukey Davies to head into the corner with Bargoed's Gkeeper fumbling the ball across the line. With the score at 1 v 0 to Llanboidy the Boidy boys played the better football but Bargod kept pushing on for an equaliser but Llanboidy closed the game out with just over 5 minutes to go with Bleddyn Williams big kick from hand down the middle had found Ross McDonald clean through one on one on the keeper and he kept his head to finish nicely.
