Sean Eardley shares thoughts on next season after FAW announcement.

The Football Association of Wales released a statement on the 16th of June revealing that they are going to be going ahead with promotion and relegation this season. Here's what they had to say:

Football Association of Wales (FAW):
"Following careful consideration of all options that were available to them, the FAW Board of
Directors decided that promotion and relegation should be implemented in line with the existing Pyramid Regulations, based on the final standings in each League/division having applied the unweighted points per game method and subject to Club Licensing/Ground Criteria requirements for the National Leagues. The decision was consistent with the recommendation from the FAW National Leagues Board."

This means Llanidloes Town, Holywell Town & Holyhead Hotspur will be promoted to the JD Cymru North while Llanfair United, Corwen & Porthmadog are all relegated from the JD Cymru North. Also, Airbus UK Broughton will be joining us in the league after being relegated from the JD Cymru Premier. Here's what our first team manager Sean Eardley had to say about next season:

Sean Eardley:
"The league is shaping up to be very strong next year.
No matter what decision was made with regards to promotion/relegation it was always going to offer the best or worst news possible for many teams.
With Airbus dropping down they will almost certainly be looking to bounce straight back up, Prestatyn were brilliant last year and will feel hard done by as all their efforts were refused in being promoted, they have retained the same squad near enough as having Colwyn Bay and both will definitely be in the mix next year in my opinion.
With Lenny (Nathan Leonard) returning to Guilsfield that will give them a massive lift and Bangor were a good outfit last year also and that’s just to start with.
Every team will pose a different threat and I hope the league continues to get the exposure it deserves as it will be very competitive week in/week out.
I pass on my congratulations to Llanidloes Town, Holywell Town, and Holyhead Hotspur on their recent promotion to the Cymru North.
As I said earlier they’ll pose different threats also and be big tests, especially away from home.
We are in a good place though, plans are taking shape and the excitement is building for the start of the new season.
In the meantime, I hope everyone stays safe, keep following the guidelines and we’ll be back as soon as safely possible!"
