U13's Coach Creates Satellite Training Facility for young players.

Under 13's coach Rob, has setup a satellite training facility for players to still train during the Covid-19 restrictions. Due to restrictions on travel, players are unable to make it to Maesdu Park to train with their fellow team mates, but this facility allows players to still train without breaking these restrictions. The training facility has a 3g surface pitch with floodlights and outdoor enclosure. Here's more from Rob:

"After the lockdown was announced for Llandudno myself and several other players were unable to travel into lockdown area I spoke to Sam Stockley to see if there were others from various ages and if it was possible for me to do sessions for these lads on Anglesey
I phoned several facilities to see availability but most were fully booked due to the dark nights closing in I spoke to Colin the manager at the local leisure centre where my grass root team plays and managed to get 2 slots on a Monday and Thursday so we could train our first session was a great success with players ages ranging from 9 to 15
All parents and coaches from the academy were very supportive of me doing this
Some players don't play in grass roots and would of missed out on several weeks of training
Sam was very enthusiastic of me doing this and provided me with a lot of guidance and advice."

Rob went on to say:

"We started our session with a bit of ball mastery then we went into a technical session then into a small sided game
All the lads involved were outstanding and really worked hard despite there age range they all interacted well
This was something I was very keen on doing as I didn't want any kids missing out
Hopefully players can be back training within there squads soon."

We as a club thank Rob for all the effort he has put in for the players to make sure that no one misses out.
