Under 18s Mixed Ability Training
- Gala Dinner with Sean Holley

The season continues apace and I would like to thank all those who have supported the club, especially those who have helped advice the committee recently.

A quick review: the club has already played 6 fixtures this season and the win over Betws has made the ledger look a little better with 2 wins and 4 losses. (phots and reports are on the site)

Training has continued to be well attended

The Curry Nights and Monthly Discos have continued to be popular providing a social outlet for the Warriors and providing much needed funds.

News:
The fixtures in Cardiff held in conjunction with South Wales Police, the WRU and Llandaff have borne fruit with Myself and Jamie attending the first meeting of Cardiff Mixed Ability Rugby Club (full name not chosen yet). The new club will have another meeting on November 1st before training begins at Llandaff RFC on November 5th. We are proud to say that the club’s first fixture will be against Llanelli Warriors on November 25th – the day Wales play New Zealand. It is hoped that Scrum V cameras will be in attendance to capture this historic day. If you know anyone in Cardiff who would like to get involved tell them to contact Llandaff RFC

Speaking of Scrum V – the club has been invited to attend the show the next day (Sunday 26th) and so there will be a bus up for that as well. Places are strictly limited to 30 places so if you are interested please let us know.

The week before: November 18th, the Warriors will hold their 2nd Annual Gala Dinner. Special Guest will be Sean Holley, former coach with Scarlets, Ospreys, Bristol and Wales, host of Radio show Rugby Nation and a regular pundit on Scrum V. Sean has an excellent reputation as a speaker so we look forward to another great night. There will be a 3 course meal, disco, live band and photo booth and it will again be held at the Selwyn Samuel in Llanelli. Tickets are just £30 and tables of 10 are available.

On November 6th the Warriors have been invited to play the last ever match at Llanishen RFC’s current ground. The club are moving to a new 3G facility and the Warriors have been asked to face a Past and Present XV. It will be the culmination of a day that includes all their sides from Under 7s through to past players and there will be some fundraising for Cancer Research as well. The Warriors are honoured to accept this invitation and look forward to a great day.

On December 3rd the Warriors will be having an open training session at Carmarthen Athletic’s ground. This will be alongside a WRU run under 18s mixed ability session and it’s hoped that this is something that can continue long term at Burry Port. The weeks after the Warriors will play an exhibition match after the Under 18s sessions against WRU Scarlets Community Select XV. If you know of anyone who would like to get involved with the Warriors and rugby, of ANY age please let them know.
