In a tight game but enjoyable game the Warriors scored a late try to edge out the Loughor team.

The first time the Warriors had hosted a team at New Dock since offically moving there from Parc Y Scarlets they marked the occasion with this narrow victory.
A huge home turnout both helped and hammpered the Warriors efforts as in their bid to give everyone a game they had plenty of fresh legs but lost a little continuity.

Colin Talcon took of the Captaincy after the late withdrawal of Darren Pollitt but couldn't stop the lifeboat men having the early running. With the wind at their backs the crew dominated early territory although some good work from debutant Graham Mosser helped keep them at bay through the first quater. Evetually pressure told though and they broke away down the left with the wing rounding off the move of the game. The Warriors contined to battle away but conceeded another score before the half and perhaps the Loughor team were undervalued for their lead.

Fresh legs and the wind at their backs helped the Warriors become more competative. The forwards failed to give their backs the support they deserved out wide but in their defence they worked hard at close quaters. Better support of Man of the Match Luke Jenkins might have produced better returns but flanker Bens crossed near the posts.

Despite struggling to get to grips with the referee at times the lifeboat continued to have much of the game and a series of breaks down the middle of the field saw Kwan scoring a try near the posts to extend the visitors lead.

Back came the Warriors though and continued pressure on the lifeboat line eventually saw scrum half Chris Edmunds grab a close range effort and Simon Jenkins slotted a converstion that was to prove critical.

At 15 12 the game was right in the balance. As the clock ticked down the Warriors looked to move the ball from their own 22. Lifeboat's Carl Matthews looked odds on to settle the game but knocked on in the process of intercepting. A strong drive from a lineout and a penalty put the Warriors on the cusp of the try line and just as everyone expected the ball to go wide, Edmunds fed flanker Tom Anderson who burrowed over for the winning score.

Despite the closeness of the contest the game was played in good spirit and kept the crowd entertained throughout - an all round success.

Warriors: Anthony Randall, Jon Kerr (Ryan Morgan, Joshua Crowther), Luke Jenkins, Karl Davies (Jamie Evans), Graham Mosser (Mike Ftizsimmons), Jonathan Jones, Dean Gilasbey (Chris Edmunds), Mike James (Richard Evans), Colin Talcon (Eric Horridge), Alun Stephens (Tom Dew), John Horwood (Tony Whittaker), Chris Hancock (Mike Seignot), Lee Rowlands (Tom Anderson), Simon Jenkins, Ben Youth (Aled Richards, Nathan Lawson).
