The Warriors kept up their unbeaten start to 2013 with their 3rd 6 nations series win.

The Warriors edged to a third win from three in their 6 nations series in an intriguing encounter at Cae Carwyn

As ever played in a good atmosphere, the 14th annual fixture between the sides saw two well matched teams battling away to the final whistle. It was a day for enterprising rugby and far removed from some of the dour encounters seen recently at international level.

The Warriors started in the disciplined vein that saw them triumph in Pontarddulais last time out, sharp bursts from the forwards hoping to suck defenders in and make room for the backs. The Warriors drew first blood with Nathan Lawson finishing off a surge down the wing.

The home side hit straight back though and then got in front with a nice move across the backs. Both sides looked to mix it up and both teams were fully tested. The Warriors had a definite advantage at set piece where Pollitt and Horwood ruled the skies but otherwise it was pretty even.

With time in the first half running out the Warriors re took the lead when young prop Dion Mitchell-Lewis was driven over the line.
Cefneithin upped their game in the second half with both wings looking dangerous and they stretched away in the third quarter with a sweeping move bagging them a third try.

Both sides were playing confidently and moving the ball about and it was obvious there wouldn’t be much between the teams at the end. Cefneithin fell foul of the referee which gave the Warriors some much needed territory, Will Brown set up a strong drive from which Simon Jenkins burst over to score. Surprisingly Jenkins fluffed the conversion leaving the Warriors two points adrift and time ticking. They now really had the bit between their teeth and quick ball allowed centre Luke Jenkins to again break clear and his seering run was well supported with Simon Jenkins taking the final pass to scorch over and give the Warriors the lead for the first time since the opening phases.
With time against them Cefneithin had to throw caution to the wind but the Warriors were in no mood to let the lead slip. A bobbled pass was picked up by Robert Lewis who alongside with father and brother had made an excellent debut, he scored under the posts in what was the last move of the game.

The scoreline flattered the Warriors in a match that could have gone either way but they will be pleased with another win.
