After a close 1st half, the Warriors pulled away to record an impressive win at Old Deer Park.

Two teams with a reputation for running rugby, a wide dry surface and no pressure were all the ingredients needed for a fine display of running rugby.

The intent of both teams was clear from the off with Warriors centre making a telling break but Welsh responding with a sweeping move, first down the left and then across to the right for Kieran Morgan to score in the corner.
Warriors quickly hit back, another Evans break setting up the position and the forwards rumbling on for 2nd row and tour Captain Lloyd Crawley driving over.
A loose ball from Crawley though, was the catalyst for Welsh to hit back, good hands seeing their centre over. They almost scored again from a penalty on half way, beautifully cross kicked to wing Morgan, but the Warriors scrambled well and held on.
Strong carried for Haines, Fussell, Hall and Haines again took the Warriors up to half way, Evans again got through the defence leaving simple hands from Kearney to scrum half James for the Warriors to score under the post and Grinter to land their 1st conversion.
Evans got his reward when the forwards committed enough defenders for Lewis to make a half break and send him over, giving the Warriors a little bit of daylight for the 1st time.
it didn't last long, a promising attack breaking down and the home team simply moved the ball to their full back who streaked over from 70 meters.
Warriors flanker Dylan Williams responded with a similar effort, some neat off loads making the space for him to show his paces and round the cover to complete the 1st half and saw the Warriors take a slight lead into the break: 22-21 to the visitors.

If anything the Warriors were even more lively in the 2nd half. Fly half Murphy immediately attacking the line and full back Thomas Edwards benefiting as he was given the space to skip through. London Welsh's ambitions weren't helping them as they tried to run out of defence. They played plenty of good rugby and often made 40 or 50 meters but without threatening the Warriors line. Edwards got a second when a cross field kick from Welsh didn't quite come off and he slipped into the corner.

No surprise that the home team got the next score. The Warriors forwards were too slow to support a break from lively wing Rodwell and from the turn over, the Welsh wing needing no second bidding to bag a second score.

He made good yards from the resultant kick off but a penalty was conceded. The Warriors forwards drove up field impressively but a poor cross field kick squandered the opportunity. They forced a scrum though and a fantastic offload from centre Jonathan Kearney saw Murphy under the posts.

The home team then forced their way into the Warriors corner but twice their driving lineout was disrupted by Lewis and the Warriors escaped. Another sweeping movement with the ball bouncing through the hands brought a deserved try for hard carrying flanker Adam Fussell fly half Nathan Murphy got the final say to round off the scoring.

An impressive performance from the Warriors whose forwards also played their part. The score doesn't reflect the home team's efforts as they looked to throw the ball about rather than worry about the result.

A cracking game of rugby with some super sexy off loads from the Warriors. Those looking for banter and comedy: Gwil dropping the 1st ball of the day, Lloyd throwing a loose pass for jamie to knock on, Lloydi getting munched when he tried to pick and go, Jamie pushing Flash over and best of all....Darren Pollitt's conversion attempt: comedy warm up, comedy kick!
