A storming start from the Panthers had the Warriors struggling from the start and although they fought back in the 2nd half, the spoils went to Port Talbot.
From the kick off the Warriors failed to get an pressure on the reciver and the Panthers score was the 1st phase of the game. Ryan Davies immediately got in on the action with some trademark carries and it only took one slipped tackle for him to get over in the corner and a third try soon followed after a botched line out.
The Warriors were struggling to control the ball and Panther pressure kept them very much on the back foot. The Panthers scored a 4th try within the 1st half hour.
The Warriors did manage some phases and looked dangerous once they had clean ball. A following move saw Jamie Evans go under the posts and they should have had a second when a dropped pass over the line denied them. To rub salt into the wound the Panthers got a 5th score before the half was over.
The 2nd half saw yet another score for the Panthers and it looked ominous for the home team. The Warriors looked rusty with lineouts not quite working and players snatching a things, especially as the score built up. The Panthers had some great foraging forwards who caused havoc in the Warriors ranks and the use of touch players turned various players into the equivalent of Dan Lydiate.
There were some good performances though, Jamie Evans and Mathew Hinder cut through on several occasions, Mathew Miller had some nice touches and James Anthony made a spectacular counter attack. The other plus for the Warriors was a sqaud of almost 40 players with Dan Waitt making a debut, however, the down side of that was that it effected continuity.
25 points down at the start of the 2nd half, the Warriors did rally. Jamie Evans got a 2nd and Ashley Lewis a third. With their tails up the home side kept the momentum and another try might have even put the game in the balance. Despite going close, Dai Harris and Dai Wisby showing up well and Richard Evans working hard, it wasn't to be. The Panthers held on for a deserved victory.

Here are the thoughts of Levi Adams on behalf of the Panthers and there is not much to argue with here:

Match review
First half
Panthers started of strong with a try in the first 2 minutes in the corner but with tough kick it went passed the post 7 minutes later from the sloppy play from Llanelli warriors panthers capulised on a line out and go in the corner to score our second try again missing the post in the 15 minutes we went in for our 3rd try in the opposite corner missed the post and buy the 25 minute mark the panthers scored our 4th try of the game in the corner but missed the post coming to end of the first half the panthers went in for their 5th try of the match with this try under the post our kicker rushed the didn't wait for the kicking tea and went wide of the post unfortunately at the last minute of the first half Llanelli Warriors went under the post from a great move and put the kick over and that was the last kick of the half
Panthers led at half time 25-7
Second half
The start of the second half was the same as the first half kick off couple of phases and we broke the line 2 on 1 we used as our Advantage and went under the post for our 6th try this time our Kicker waited for the kicking tea and put the ball over unfortunately everyone knew the Warriors would have an impact on the game and did they couple of changes from them changed the game going into the last 20 minutes with the panthers getting sloppy and given away pens put us on the back foot the Llanelli warriors ran in 2 quick trys and converted 1 of them and with the nerves kick in the panthers held on for a big win.

‘As a leadership group at the start of the season we wanted to focus on improving the positivity, the culture, the disicipline of the side. We had faith that if we did that it would enable us to play ar our full potential. And today, and the last couple of matches actually, you have seen the culmination of that. We had a small, inexperienced squad, but to a man we were simply magnificent and played some fantastic rugby. Important that we enjoy it, then keep building for the next match- we all know that we can improve further
A very chaotic day (and for some a 2nd very chaotic day). Trouble started on the Saturday with the chip shop making the food a day early and phoning Burry Port to collect it. With no chippies open (and no kitchen thanks to a burst water pipe) Trev the Kit had to shoot into Llanelli for food, a least it all went down well (unless you turned up an hour later like Luck and Sugar)
As for the game, that was certainly chaos with the Chief having a harder time on the sidelines trying to work out the subs that on the field trying to tackle Ryan "Boom" Davies.
Dick of the day went to Big Rhyd for refusing to get into the car that came to pick him up (once he'd finished his coffee), depending on what you believe: Simon Day was meant to pick him up or he was too tall for Simon Allen's car. Jamie Evans was also nominated for his silly pass to Ant Hurricane when we should have scored. Various other people we pleased that their dropped passes or missed tackles were covered by these incidents.
All in all though - rugby was played with lots of people. Dan was a popular debutant and we live to play again. Diolch i Andrew a dyfarnu eto, wystod croeso i chi gyda'r Rhyfelwyr.
