This weekend will see the start of the newly formed Genero Adran Leagues, a new structure for women’s football in Wales

Our Ladies begin their campaign at home to Llandudno on Sunday @ 2pm, before taking on fellow Adran North sides Bethel, Airbus, Pwllheli, Connahs Quay, Denbigh and Wrexham throughout the season.

The league only consists of 8 teams, so each team will play 14 games, with lots of cup games slotted inbetween. The winners of the North league will play the winners of the South league in a promotion play off, in order to compete in the Genero Adran Premier.

Llandudno will be a tough test for our Ladies, who have signed a number of promising youngsters since they last kicked a ball in a competitive game, 546 days ago!

Karl Seliaerts will continue to manage the side, with the support of Nyasha Mwamuka, who also plays for the Llanfair Men’s side. Nyasha will take over from Selly in November, who will take a back seat due to family commitments.

Last year, no NWWFL games were attempted or even fixtured, a total wipeout since March 2020 due to COVID19. Llanfair were awarded the league title in 2020 on points per game and goal difference so will go into this league with a high reputation to live up to.

There are a few senior players currently out due to pregnancy, having recently had a baby or long term injury. However with a new generation of youngsters coming through, and a great deal of the squad from the past few years still signed on, it promises to be another exciting season for our Ladies.
