Chris Robert's first match in charge ended in a comprehensive defeat against last seasons runners up . As Hawarden only missed out on the title on goal difference and had managed to retain the bulk of that squad , the opener was going to be difficult . Llan found themselves two goals down before Jordan Powell netted his first senior goal to launch a 15 minute period of backs to the wall defending for the hosts . The third goal eventually arrived and signalled a collapse as Rangers ran in a further 3 unanswered goals .

Kev Weir's young reserve side triumphed over last seasons champions Penycae . The visitors somewhat surprisingly included former Town forward Sam Marrs in their starting line up . 2 goals from last seasons leading scorer James Haynes and an effort from the talented Jordan Evans on his return from serious injury secured the points
