Gresford Athletic had a fine sequence of results ended as they went down 3-2 at home to Llangollen Town. They took an early lead with some alert thinking who scored with a quick free-kick even in advance of the whistle. Back came Llan to take control with strikes by Ian Grindley and Josh Langford but the games best player Gareth Williams got Gresford back on level terms with a near post header from a Phil Jones corner. Llan then promptly went up the other end of the field to score the winner with a scrambled affair by Ben Realey. Despite plenty of Gresford pressure Llan managed to hang on for all three points.
