1. Club History


Llanrhaeadr Y.M. Football Club was formed on 21st August 1882.
Apart from breaks during the 1st & 2nd World Wars Llanrhaeadr FC have played regularly in various leagues, including:
Eastern Division of the Recreation Associations League, North Shropshire League, Oswestry and District League and Montgomeryshire Amateur League.
In the year 2000 and for the first time in the Club's long history, Llanrhaeadr YM FC joined a Senior League, when the club was promoted into the Spar Mid Wales League.
In 2010 Llanrhaeadr YMFC started a Reserve side which entered in the Montgomeryshire Football League Div 2 (JT Hughes League). Following the First Team success through winning the Spar Mid Wales League Llanrhaeadr where promoted to the second tier of Welsh football and played in the Cymru Alliance for the season 2011-12. Despite finishing in the bottom three the club were reprieved of relegation and will play their second season in the second tier of Welsh football. Following the success of the First Team the Reserve Team were also promoted into the First Division of the JT Hughes Amateur League.
