Today saw both sides playing for the first time since March. The first team travelled to Maes Tegid, Bala to face Tier 3 side Llanuwchllyn in their first friendly of the season. As expected we started strongly but found the going tougher as the game went on. The game was a good competitive workout and Llanuwchllyn equalised in the last 5 minutes to ensure that honours ended up even. Llan's goals were scored by Zack Davies and Khyam Wytton. With the side only having had 1 training session together due to the English lockdown, there were some encouraging signs for the future.
The reserves travelled to Llanfyllin to take on the Tier 4 side. Despite several members being missing the boys performed admirably and kept going despite coming out on the wrong side of an 8-3 scoreline. Our goals were scored by Huw France (2) and Gruff Evans, scoring his first goal in senior football.
Both games were played behind closed doors and followed the Return to Play Protocols. A big thank you to both Llanuwchllyn and Llanfyllin for hosting. We wish both teams well whenever their season's start.
