The second half was a scrappier affair. Huw again put a shot over the bar on 49 minutes. Chances were at a premium despite Llan penning the visitors into their own half for long periods. The only goal of the game came on 78 minutes - a goal that was well worth the wait. Substitute Sean Griffiths got the ball from Will and cut in from the right and unleashed a shot from 30 yards that flew into the top corner, sparking wild celebrations. This seemed to spark Dolgellau into action. Numerous throw ins and corners were forced but the home defence stood firm to keep a clean sheet and gain an important three points.

A good win and performance. It certainly was the response that was needed after the disappointment of the previous week. Next weekend we host Llandrindod Wells in a 2pm kick off.
