This local derby was played under the lights of Treflan on Friday. The home side were without the suspended pair Glenn Evans and Tom Evans. However they welcomed back Gus Harris from his coaching stint in China and the returning Matt Evans.
The visitors started the game strongly dominating the early possession. They took the lead on 23 minutes after good work down the left wing from Adam Jenkins led to Chris Catterall opening the scoring. Three minutes later Joe Vaughan headed the ball wide in the first chance of the game for Llan. On 35 minutes Iain Edmunds flashed a cross across the face of goal in the only real action of the half. Despite dominating possession Guilsfield were finding it hard to break an organised Llan defence.
