The first team hosted Prestatyn at Treflan looking to right a few wrongs from last weekend. Llan started brightly. The visiting keeper was called into action on 10 minutes and he pulled off an excellent save from a great strike from Iwan Matthews. Llan took the lead on 17 minutes - good work from Iwan Matthews put Tom Evans through and he calmly rounded the keeper to finish from a tight angle. Prestatyn were comfortable on the ball and were on level terms on 26 minutes. A foul from Iain Edmunds just inside the penalty box led to a penalty which was expertly finished. The remainder of the half was played out without any further chances being created.

The second half followed a similar fashion with both sides getting the ball down. Jimmy Haynes produced an excellent double save on 54 minutes to thwart the visitors. Khyam Wyton put in a couple of good crosses that were cleared for corners. On the hour mark the visiting keeper again produced an excellent save. This time a 20 yard strike from Glenn Evans was paled around the post. 5 minutes larer a header from Tom Evans put Iwan in the clear, but he dragged his shot wide of the mark. Prestatyn then broke upfield and from the edge of the box put the shot over the bar. On 70 minutes a Khyam Wyton strike was again excellently saved by the Prestatyn keeper. The game exploded into life on 85 minutes when the referee awarded Prestatyn a penalty. Jimmy Hayns managed to save the penalty but from the ensuing melee another penalty was awarded for handball. This time the spot kick was calmly dispatched for the winning goal. In injury time Llan were reduced to 10 men when Iain Edmunds was shown the red card.

A tough one to take for Llan in a game that was seemed destined to end up in a draw. The boys are back in action on Tuesday night in the quarter final of the Central Wales Cup against Builth Wells at Treflan. Kick off 7.45.
