Thanks to Phil Jones and the leader for their take on Welfare's weekend results....

The Premier Division overnight leaders Rhostyllen played second fiddle to a rampant Llay Welfare who ended up showing the leaders a clean pair of heels and were good value for their 4-1 win. Before things went down hill, Tom Douglas gave the hosts the lead but from that point onwards, Llay took over. They grabbed a leveller through Ryan Goodband and straight from the restart Goodband netted a second goal for them to go in at the break 2-1. Rhostyllen boss Warren Duckett reacted by bringing on Olly Allman and Drew Wickens but Welfare were still in the ascendancy and grabbed a 3rd goal through Tom Wells. Their domination continued and Matty Worrall completed the scoring with 25 minutes left to play.

Chris Owen and Josh Russell combined to enable Llay Welfare to defeat Ruthin Town 2-0.

Llay Welfare’s goals came from Cameron Boyle and Connor Davies in their 3-2 reversal against Llangollen Town. Dyfan Thomas, Matthew Jones and Joe Morris were on target for Llan.
