Lochside United shock League champions

After suffering a defeat to Old Bolag in the Neil Taylor Memorial Trophy the week before, Lochside looked to bounce back against league champions Johnshaven.
The game got underway and after 5 minutes of play, a pivotal moment of the game occurred when Johnshaven's Ross Blease blocked a shot on the line with his hand. He then received a red card and Jordan Rausch converted the penalty at the second time of asking. (0 - 1)

Disaster then struck for Johnshaven as they were then reduced to 9 men when their wingers initial bad tackle on Jamie Moir caused a reaction from the Lochside player, he then reacted in a worse manner resulting in a red card for the Johnshaven player and a yellow card for Jamie Moir.
At this stage Lochside obviously began to dominate the possession of the ball and dictate the play. They found themselves 2-0 up when a driven crossed ball to the edge of the box was met first time by and on running John Murdoch who's first time strike found the bottom corner. (0 - 2)

Lochside then found themselves 3-0 up when Johnshavens goalkeeper failed to deal with a crossed ball and Andrew Campbell was able to capitalise and finish into the back of the net. (0 - 3)

Johnshaven obviously tried to get back into the game in the 2nd half and began pushing up the park which allowed Yan Couineaux-Rice to run in behind Johnshaven's defence high up the park and his run was capped off well when he turned the last defender and finished well past an onrushing goalkeeper. (0 - 4)

Lochside soon made it 5, minutes later when Andrew Campbell got onto the end of a good crossed ball and his stretched effort found the bottom corner. (0 - 5)

Andrew Campbell then got his hat trick through a penalty when Lochside were rewarded with a 2nd penalty when Cameron Spink was fouled in the box. (0 - 6)

Johnshaven got a consolation goal when Scott Beaddie scored direct from a free kick. (1 - 6)
Johnshaven were reduced to 8 men late on for a very poor tackle on Ryan Murray.
Lochside added 2 more goals later on through Ryan Murray & Cameron Spink to finish of the scoring and give Lochside a very convincing 8-1 victory and sees them through to the quarter final were they will face Northern Vaults. (1 - 8)
