Club Statement - May 2020
We are awaiting the RFU and Government guidelines for when we can restart. These things change daily with so much happening, but we are hopeful that we may get some form of pre-season. Undoubtedly there will be restrictions and guidelines when it happens. Coaches will initially have to think about social distancing within sessions etc, and the club will have challenges operationally. We will most probably have to produce risk assessments around our activities. We are looking for volunteers to be part of a small group that can produce our risk assessments. If you have an interest, or experience in this we could do with your help. As we gradually come out of lockdown and more restrictions are lifted, theses assessments will need updating quite regularly. Please let us know if you are interested in joining this group ASAP. I am personally overwhelmed with all the effort from the all the members have put in within your groups. The community interaction and help has been staggering, and I am so proud of our club. If you know anyone that you suspect may be struggling in any way, please let us know. We are remaining positive and optimistic about the Club and Sport, and over the next few weeks we will have a couple of construction projects. We have had a container delivered, kindly donated by Goodman Corporate Finance, our headline sponsor. This will be turned into our training kit store for Juniors and Seniors. The existing garage will be turned into an outside Bar and Refreshments. In June, the pitch repairs and renovations will take place. With emphasis on the training pitch, main pitch, and pitch 4. We are also replacing the astro path and adding some more paths for clean areas. Along with this we will be painting the fences around the pitch and patio.
