The lads have been with us a while and have been integral to the successes and development of the Club thus far. It was an easy decision for us to ask the lads and team the to continue their excellent work. They share our vision and ambitions and have become part of the DNA of the Club. I am excited to see how we go over the next few seasons. With a young squad, and so much quality coming through the Junior and Colts sections, the club has huge potential to continue to develop and grow”.
Tom and Muzza will also be involved in Coach development with the Club, running CPD’s for the Clubs Coaches, as well as supporting the Junior and Mini coaches at sessions throughout the Season. Another development will be assigning senior players as ambassadors to each junior and mini team. “we are one club and its important that we are all going in the same direction. The players at 6 years old we want to go all the way through to senior rugby at the Club. We hope that the senior players that are attached to the teams, help to inspire and assist these young players in their journey through Rugby”. Matt Everard will be continuing his role as Director of Rugby position, overseeing the Senior section of the club. Murray McConnell said “Im delighted to be able to commit tot the club again. Tommy, Evs and I have really fallen in love with the place, so it was an easy decision to make. I can’t wait to get back at it and be part of the Clubs continued growth. Tom Holmes added “Long Eaton has been a great club supporting us whilst we have been playing professionally. The lads in the senior teams are a close group who give everything for the club, I’m looking forward to joining them shoulder to shoulder and continue the development of the rugby club community as a whole. I have a similar affection for Long Eaton as I do my home team Sandbach, as that’s how it makes me feel. It’s a great rugby club with great people I’m proud to be a part of.”
