20-year-old Tom Tucker has recently been awarded with the coveted award of Player's Player of the 2017/18 season at Long Eaton Rugby Club.

The Midlands and NLD U20s Back Rower was presented the award at Long Eaton's West Park club house following the club's most successful season yet.

The upcoming 2018/19 season will be Tom's third with Long Eaton. A regular in the starting 15, Tom also used to play for Nottingham Rugby's academy side.

Director of Rugby at Long Eaton, Matt Everard said: "Tom is a brilliant rugby player and thoroughly deserves this award. The Player's Player is always a special accreditation as it is a true reflection of the respect you earn from your team mates.

"Tom has been presented this award for his bravery on the field; he regularly puts his body on the line in the contact area, especially with his destructive tackling capability. He is popular on and off the pitch and has bought into the club's culture. He is committed not only to his team, but the success of the Long Eaton badge and we wish him luck with the next season at our club."
