Loughborough Dynamo will be looking to make it back-to-back league victories for the first time this season when they take on Spalding United on Saturday.
Dynamo come into the clash having picked up a maiden away league win on New Year’s Day after Max Bardsley-Rowe’s first-half strike helped the Moes to beat Chasetown 1-0 and complete the double over the Staffordshire outfit this term.
It was a victory that took Loughborough up to 12th and they can move into the top-half of the table with victory and if results go their way in the division.
However, Lee Attenborough’s side are hoping to bounce back at home following the 1-1 draw against Stamford on December 28. Despite taking the lead through Rob Norris, the Daniels scored a 95th-minute equaliser to share the points at the ADT Stadium.
Last meeting
The Moes have already faced the Tulips this season, as two second-half goals saw Dynamo fall to a 2-0 defeat in Lincolnshire back in August despite creating a number of early opportunities to open the scoring.
On the opposition
Spalding currently sit in 11th place in the BetVictor Northern Premier League South East, a point and a position above Dynamo ahead of the sides’ meeting at the weekend.
The Tulips have failed to win any of their last four outings since the impressive 4-1 win at Worksop Town in early December – a run that has saw them suffer successive defeats in their last two against Lincoln United and struggling Wisbech Town.
Joel Brownhill is United's top scorer after notching a creditable eight goals so far this season, including three in his last five matches.
