Rough start after the Christmas break
Still slow from all the turkey at christmas
Lowestoft traveled to IES with Jamie Ayres still recovering from New Years Eve and falling over in the first 10 seconds, worrying signs for the first half. The team started off slow and got into it but went 1-0 down. Lowestoft still battled on with Robert guy pulling off a couple of good saves but then still went 2-0 down. The boys up front Wilks and Bez done their best to score some goals but their best wasn’t good enough. Lowestoft still battling away IES still kept coming at Wardy, Jamie H, Rob Hall and Jamie Mortimer. Even with all the effort they still went 3-0 down befor the first half. A rallying speech and a heated arguement at half time got the team going for the second half. Lowestoft scored at last with a mazy run by Bez slipping the ball to Wilks who made it 3-1. Lowestoft battled well trying fight back with Troy running down the right and Jason Harris running down the left. The pace of Troy was leaving players in his wake and if they did catch him he put them on the floor with his hard shoulders. Jamie Ayres and Dan Croft chipped away well in the midfield but IES got another short corner and Jamie Ayers stopped it on the line saving a certain goal but IES still then went 4-1 up but Jason Harris, Wilks, Troy, Dan, Jamie Ayers, Rob Hall and Jamie Mortimer all battled and got another short. Troy assisted Wilks to score his second goal making the game end 4-2.
