U11 Blacks shine in the mud!
A Wet and Muddy Farsley Celtic pitch affected both teams today as it was alot harder to play any sort of passing game as they ball moved slow in the boggy surface!
There weren't as many chances for both teams today but Oliver stayed alert and made a fantastic save in the first half as he spread himself superbly and took one to the face!
The game was delayed for over 10 minutes as we waited for his nose to stop bleeding. (Being cared for by his mum & newly qualified Childrens Nurse, Christina.
LS27 FC Blacks turned up with no subs today due to illness so Oliver's bravery was testament to the teams fighting spirit.
The defence worked superbly together today with both Oisin and Alfie making some fantastic tackling and tracking back, with Alfie receiving Coaches Player of the Match for his efforts.
Harry R reacted quickest to good pressure forcing Celtic into a mistake and finished well as he rounded the keeper to slot home to give LS27 the half time lead.
Good work from Mollie, Fin and Harry C down the flanks created more pressure in the second half and Harry C doubled the lead after good footwork going past 2 players to slot home.
Imogen received the Oppositions Player of the Match for the 2nd week running showing her battling spirit infront if the back two & Noah showed plenty of fight today with his bustling all over the middle third receiving Parents Player of the Match.
A saved Penalty by the Celtic keeper didnt dampen the spirits as the game finished to give LS27 a well deserved Win.
Well Done all and get well soon Ethan and Aiden.
