Luton Town Hockey Club – Club Day
A sunny Saturday 31st August saw the official launch to the season for Luton Town Hockey Club with a well attended Club Day. The fun kicked off in the morning with junior training for the 4 – 14 year olds. It was great to see so much enjoyment and enthusiasm on the pitch and great to hear from parents that their kids had been nagging them about when hockey was going to restart. At the end of the session the youngsters were delighted to receive a hockeyfest goody bag courtesy of England Hockey, with the bright orange sunglasses proving particularly popular!
The afternoon saw the turn of the adults. The weather was kind and the sun stayed out giving a lovely summery feel. A friendly 7-a-side mixed tournament saw Luton Whites as the eventual winners before the players returned to the clubhouse for a well deserved beverage.
