The 2019/20 season came to an abrupt end but team performance ensures Lutterworth 1st XV remains in Midlands 1.

Report by Team Manager, Steve Russell

Season 2019/20 is the fourth season to date that Lutterworth 1st XV have competed in the Midlands 1 Leagues.

With the season coming to an abrupt end it is fair to reflect that on the whole it’s been a variable season with a mixture of highs and lows. Early season training saw record numbers in attendance (45+), packed sidelines on game days and a good travelling contingent of supports to away games. The season ended, after an unsteady early 2020 with Lutts sitting in a mid-table calculated finish at 7th, which has been a fairly consistence position for the team over the past couple. Final points scored of 56 having played 22 games, won 11, drew 1, lost 10.

#LuttsRFC never ones to rest on their laurels have already put structure in place for the coming season with Head Coach Chris Tarbuck, following short introduction, and fellow team officials eager to welcome current squad members, recruit new players and look forward to welcoming players rising to the senior teams from Colts.

End of Season awards are yet to be announced.
