Oh Dear

Lutts second journey of the year to Oakham started with so much promise after a closely fought opening fixture of the year.

It appeared that this would be a similarly tense affair with both teams competing well in the first 20 minutes and only a great run and missed tackles saw the Oakham fullback score under the posts. On the final play of the half another try was scored by Oakham under the posts to give the half time score a slightly unjust view.

Not exactly sure what occurred during half time but the second half saw the lads totally capitulate and for the first time this season heads went down. Oakham then seemed to score tries at will. The final whistle was greeted by all and stern words said. Let's hope this is the only time we see the boys play initially so well to then let themselves, coaches and parents down.
