Lutts V Nuneaton away

Weather conditions were perfect in Sunny Nunny for the boys' last match of the regular season.

Match 1

Nuneaton to kick off. Early pressure from Nuneaton. Big contact early doors as Harry Hewitt smashes into his opposite man. However, Nuneaton score first from close range.

Lutts bounce back as Jacob takes a grubber from kick off, offloads the ball to Ben and onto James and he breaks 3 tackles to score.

A really Competitive game.

Then a defensive clearing kick from James bounces into Freddie Weston's hands and he runs the length of pitch and has just enough in the tank to score. Crowd goes wild....Very proud dad and unbiased reporter...!

Half time whistle blows with Lutts in the lead.

Nuneaton are on the ball and score from start. They keep the pressure on but are held up on our line.

Much of the same and then Nuneaton score.

But Lutts keep on going. Ollie takes the ball into maul, Jacob rips and charges away. He passesto James who motors in for a score. Whistle blows all square.

George takes the ko and Ollie passes to James to sprint through and score.

Nuneaton don't take it lying down and hit back after a long driving maul with a try.

Poor tackling from Lutts and Nuneaton score again from close range.

Sadly the same again and Nuneaton score from first phase ball.

Nuneaton hoof ball clearing their lines but only finds James who makes a scorching run for a try.

The comeback didn't last long and the opposition were in for a 4th on the stroke of half time despite the best tackling efforts of the likes of Sam Cole.

Second half

Nuneaton score early from ruck ball and that was pretty much it.

Lutts kept knocking on the door but a strong Nuneaton held out for the win.

Good effort from the boys and more to work on.
