LF - “With a very stop start game I felt we adopted our game plan to suit. It was a good disciplined performance and we dominated the game. We kept our shape in the first half and Devonport were unable to create us any problems. A bit more patience when in the scoring zone would have given us some more scores and closed out the game early but we were deserved leaders at halftime. I was very pleased to see forwards and backs combining in some good moves today, our game management was good. Another plus side, our forwards were playing as a unit, supporting each other and totally dominated the line out and set pieces. Some good performances in the backs and players gaining in confidence to offload in the tackle. We took our chances when they came along in a solid second half display. Overall, I was pleased, we had players returning so another reshuffle was required but all 18 played their part today.”

DE – “A great result and a well-deserved win, that’s three in a row now and the challenge is on to go unbeaten for our remaining games. We played well in the first half adapting our game to the stop start nature and only conceding three points was a real positive, however despite scoring twice I felt we had left further easy scores out there. We dominated the second half, again created loads of chances and finally got the crucial scores. I felt all 18 played well today, we were always in the ascendance and controlled the game, let’s not forget they are a good side, high in the table so to come away with five points is a real positive against quality opposition. Consistency has been our issue all season, loads of injuries have not helped but recent performances have shown we can match the best”
