Maidenhead United return to York Road on Saturday 6th April when we entertain Barnet. Relegated from EFL League 2 last season Darren Currie’s Bees are in fine form, unbeaten in seven games having conceded just once in that period. They will have a familiar face in their squad as Dave Tarpey makes a second return to York Road after a loan spell with the Magpies before Christmas. Prior to that spell, Tarps scored an incredible 98 goals in 132 starts for Maidenhead and won a National League South Champions medal with us in 2016/17.
Saturday’s game will be unsegregated, meaning both sets of supporters will be able to access the ground via the turnstiles at either Bell Street or on York Road. Barnet supporters – who will be visiting York Road for the first time since 1964 - will be most welcome to use Stripes which will be open from 1:30pm as usual.
Members of the MUFC Commercial Team will be on hand to take bookings or answer queries on Early Bird 2019/20 season tickets which have been launched this week. Further details on our great value season tickets are available via the following link:
Members of the MUFC BCA Academy will also be around the ground, fund raising for their summer trip to Barcelona to compete in the Catalunya Cup. The Academy section of the club has enjoyed a superb season, with the Under 18s currently topping their division in the Allied Counties League having reached a club record best 3rd Round of the FA Youth Cup. The development teams have provided a number of players who have represented the First Team this season in the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup.
