Maidenhead United Women FC are pleased to announce that Matt Hood Personal Training will be joining us this season, as a brand new sponsor for the team. As well as committing his time, energy and expertise as part of the core coaching staff, Matt’s commitment will see the arrival of new shirts for the 2019/20 season.
Matt has already been present at training and on pre-season game days, offering strength and conditioning exercises, fitness sessions, recovery and even helping the players with their diets.
Out of action defender Sinead Thompson has been thrilled to have Matt during pre-season, ‘Having Matt come on board has been amazing for the team’s recovery but individually for me as well. He’s been helping me 1 on 1 with my recovery from injury and strengthening my muscles which keeps me involved with the team and is helping me to get back on the pitch quicker’.
Team Coach George Marsh, is keen to see what comes next. ‘With Matt’s sponsorship it’ll benefit the team massively with match kit and other opportunities throughout the season. Matt is a PT so he can help the players away from football with their diet/training. This has put us in a very positive position for the season’.
The Magpies are looking to get stuck in this weekend in their season opener, at home to Buckland Athletic who finished 3rd last season. Kick off is at 2pm on Sunday at York Road.
Marsh says, ‘Myself, the rest of the coaching staff and players are really excited about what we can achieve this season!’. So, from all the team, a huge thank you to Matt Hood and we look forward to working with you this season.
Be sure to follow @matthoodpt and @MaidenheadUnitedWomenFC on Instagram for regular updates and get yourself down to York Road this Sunday to see the team in action!
