Morecambe, the visitors from League 2 were desperate to avoid a cup upset and had a penalty in the 43rd minute from Forward, Adam Phillips to thank for securing their place in the Second Round of the competition.

The Jammers huffed and puffed, however failed to capitalise on the few chances they created with Shomari Barnwell having the best of the bunch in the opening stages of the match. There were to be no arguments on who the man of the match was though, as Jammers shot-stopper Ben McNamara (pictured) made a number of impressive saves to keep in his side in the game up and until the final whistle.

It wasn't to be though for Wayne Brown's side who end another impressive cup run at home, losing to a side from the Football League by a single goal.
