Cheshire Premier League

As we entered our second consequtive seaspn in the Premier League, we unfortunately lost our previous manager Lea Edge, who eventually turned up at near neoighbours Whitchurch Alport. Our Director of Football took over the reins, but unfortunately was hit by half the team from the previous season leaving the club during the late close season. Dave Roycroft and Keith Fowles had a great fight under the difficult circumstance, but decided to relinquish control just before Christmas afte having attained a fantastic semi final win in the Ethelston Cup against high flying neighbours from the NW Counties League - Whitchurch Alport.
Danny Lloyd our inspirational Club Captain took over the reins along with other fantastic club stalwarts in Rich Sadler, Mike Gibbs, Andy Morris and Simon Bradley assisting Danny to get us through a difficult time , before father Tommy Lloyd who famously won the FA Trophy with Telford United in the 80's came in to manage the team with Danny moving to a Coaching Role and Rich Sadler becoming Captain. A hard fought run in at the end of the season saw the team escape what had earlier looked like certain relegation, before winning the famous and prestigious Commander Ethelston Cup against Tarporley Vics 2-1. Another Cup Final in the Powell Cup against Shawbury unfortunately went astray with a 1-o defeat against Shawbury United. Our team spirit during the run-in was a credit to everyone who took part. A credit to the club indeed and so many young guns showing what a great youth policy the club has. Tom Milburn, Ben Parry and the Hailes twins Adam & Ollie were an inspiration and a breath of fresh air and we will try our best to keep this squad together to start the next season.
