Let's Raise the Roof!

Over the last 12 months income at Grove Park has been MASSIVELY reduced and any reserves have been almost entirely used up.

In addition to having practically no income from the bar, we have had to invest in new outdoor facilities and safety measures, all of which has come at a huge cost. So it's bad timing that the roof has now reached a point of real disrepair, urgently in need of fixing.

What Are We Doing?
We are looking to get the whole of the U6/7 squad to collectively walk or run the equivalent distance from Manchester Rugby Club to Twickenham Stadium! The home of OUR rugby to the home of rugby. A distance of 170 MILES (274km)!!

How Does It Work?
Please let Coach Dan (07791 361608) know if your child will be taking part no later than the evening of Monday 8th February. Once we know how many players we have we can then give each child an individual target to reach. We have 50 players (!) who have played in the squad this season, so this could be as short as 4 miles each over the weeks we have in February to complete the challenge.

Once you have your target, please then get friends and family to sponsor your child. Let's show what a difference the U6/7s can make when we pull together!! We'll be asking the players to walk or run in their shirts if possible to keep the connection to MRC alive!
