Following the Government's announcement last night (4/1/21) that England has entered a third national lockdown, it has become clear that grassroots rugby has to (once again) be placed on hold for the forthcoming weeks.
Being placed in Tier 4 from Boxing Day 2020, senior rugby had already been prohibited, but mini & junior rugby was still an option and would have taken place if not for frozen pitches! However, the national lockdown is more encompassing and means that NO RUGBY can take place at this time.
We would like to encourage ALL members, players, coaches & parents to stay as active as possible. Get a rugby ball involved, keep your MRC stash as regular items in your wardrobe and take advantage of all the exercise classes, online sessions and rugby chats that will undoubtedly crop up in the coming weeks.
We would also like to STRESS that if ANYONE (members, players, coaches, supporters, volunteers, parents, friends, family, etc) needs any help in ANY form, even just a chat, then WE at MRC are here for YOU.
We look forward to seeing you on the other side. Stay Safe, Stay Active and look after each other.
