A message from the RFU's Rugby Development Director

On Tuesday evening the RFU released an update of how community rugby will progress or restart following the conclusion of Lockdown 2. The RFU's Rugby Development Director, Steve Grainger, provided a video message to community rugby advising us that RUGBY WILL BE BACK in some form with the return of outdoor team sport from 2nd December!

Rugby will return to Stage D on the RFU's Return to Rugby Roadmap; but note that the Government and health officials still have some concerns revolving around certain aspects of our game (you can imagine which parts). Hopefully, we will get the green light to return to some form of competitive action and much will depend on which tier Greater Manchester or the North West is placed in.

See the message from Steve Grainger here.

You could use this as an opportunity to get your boots (back) on, get fit and enjoy the social side of taking part in rugby. We have a team for everyone, so whether it is you, your son, daughter, wife, husband, parents, aunt, uncles, carers or neighbour; you will ALL be welcome down at Grove Park. Please contact a member of our rugby committee or the club via our social media channels for further details.
