Every successful club depends on a dedicated band of volunteers and Manchester Rugby Club is no exception, we currently have a small group doing a great deal of excellent work, however, there is always more that needs and can be done.

We are looking for other members of the club to get more involved, either in assisting those in current roles or taking on vacancies.

Duty Manager Match Days
Media/Publicity

Fundraising
Website Management

Duty Manager Role
Most of the pitch work will have been done by Tim & Di prior to match day, being at the club 2 hours
before kick off should allow time to prepare for arrival of visitors.
Ensure pitches are ready, post protectors should be on, flags put out on stadium pitch if not done
already, flags left out at end of corridor for any other pitch (home team captain/manager to put out) *
Car park spaces are properly allocated where necessary, liaise with Jonathan Sheard as he normally sorts

Fill in blackboard with changing room allocations, ensure they are clean and free from any kit or
equipment, all lights are on (spare chalk behind bar)
Visiting teams are made welcome, allocated changing room, told which pitch to use and where they can
train prior to game
Visiting committee members welcomed and directed to those hosting lunch in bar area.
Referees are welcomed and looked after, their room is open (key behind bar)
Meal tickets allocated, again Jonathan Sheard will have these
Programmes are received for first team games and given to gate staff, allocate to those dining
After game, ensure flags from non stadium pitches are returned to hut
Changing facilities cleared at end of day
